Since only board members were in attendance at the meeting, no attempt was made at the time to separate general from board-only discussions. The meeting documentation subsequently made this distinction in separate minutes.

- In-house coaches need to inform the registrar (Tom Whitehurst) of player drops; re-imbursements will not be made after the first game.
- Y-license at Middle School on 9/14 2 to 8 PM. In-house commissioners will call coaches for reminder. Also need to obtain one U8 teams-worth of players to help out.
Practice Schedule
- Six teams to practice Fridays at Evans due to High School team practice at Middle School (2 U5/U6 teams on fields E or F and 4 travel teams on upper field)
- No practicing on the lower field (In-house fields B, C & D)
- No goals are to be used due to liability and concentrated wear and tear on the fields
Community Day

Referee Commissioner
- Election in October for referee commissioner and girl’s travel commissioner
- John Papinchak proposed separation of referee commissioner into in-house and travel positions. John will formally introduce this proposal later.
- John Alukonis appointed interim referee commissioner by the president (received unanimous board approval)
- Estimated Fall travel referee expenses of about $2500 (maintaining current pay scale as assumed in budgeting).
- John Alukonis to pay referees weekly; will co-ordinate with Mark Donoghue (Treasurer)
Procurement
- Most travel uniforms successfully distributed. A few residual problems are being addressed.
- Extra shorts are available for exchange to resolve size problems
- Upgraded socks with SCORE emblem were ordered, but were not always received. Suzanne Papinchak to investigate.
Travel
- On 9/7 U11B Seneca Valley objected to upper field size (~50 x 100 yds) and insisted on playing on the smaller U10 field (44 x 64 yds) with smaller goals. PA west guidelines are 50x70 to 50x80. John Alukonis to query PA West and SP U11 coaches for opinion; either play on what we have or put in new "yellow" field at ~50x80 yds.
Field And Structures
- Continue maintenance work at Middle School; to discuss options with School Board for field upkeep
- Engineering firm hired for water-drainage and earth-moving studies of prospective new Evans soccer field (November 2003 when leaves have fallen to permit lines of sight)
- Land across Millie Montoro Way to be evaluated for parking, playground, basketball courts. A new wetlands study is needed.
- Expense through 8/31/03: $4090.40 (detailed listing provided; mostly water, soil, seed, fertilizer and equipment)
