Schedule

 

• SPSA will be hosting the Kohl’s American Cup on Oct. 1

 

Practice Schedule

 

• No one is to practice next to the Middle School

 

• Coaches are permitted to practice anywhere in South Park or South Park Township.  Coaches were advised not to practice on private property because of liability reasons.

 

• Ron Schultz is to be contacted with a practice schedule conflicts.

 

• All practices at the Middle School on Sept. 27 are canceled due to Open House at the Middle School.

 

U5/U6

 

• Coaching is to be done from either of the two touch lines.  Coaches are to refrain from entering the field or coaching from the end lines.

 

• 4 v 4 – no goal keepers

 

U8

 

• Boys teams will play 5 v 5 (including goal keepers)

 

• Girls teams will play 6 v 6 (including goal keepers)

 

 

 

U10

 

• Both girls and boys teams will play 7 v 7 (including goal keepers)

 

U12

 

• Boys teams will play 8 v 8

 

• Girls teams will play 9 v 9

 

U15

 

• Teams will play 8 v 8

 

Coaching Development

 

• Pat purchased coaching dvd’s and books for in-house coaches

 

Fields

 

• The hours for the field maintenance day on August 27 have changed to 8 – 11 am and 11 – 2 pm.

 

Duties

 

• Teams scheduled for the first games of the day are responsible for setup.

 

• Teams scheduled for the last games of the day are responsible for take down.  Coaches were reminded that take down includes the referee tent.

 

• Teams assigned with duties on Sept. 15, 16 & 17 are to report directly to the Oval.

 

• Coaches were reminded to inform their parents that no one under the age of 12 is allowed in the concession stand.

 

Adult Social

 

• SPSA will be hosting an adult social on Nov. 5.  Coaches are to provide the flyer to their parents along with team information during the parents meeting.

 

 

Referee

 

• The club referee course will be held on Aug. 28 in the Community Room
