Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed and unanimously approved.

 

Treasurer

In-House

 

  • Parking signage could have been improved for Kohl’s Cup

 

  • Talk of U12 girls wanting to play on a smaller field

 

Action:  Commissioner to follow-up with U12 girls coaches

 

  • U15 – not enough players at games and practices.  Need to divide talent better.

 

  • U10 – player (parents) not indicating that kids are playing football on sign-up sheet.

 

Travel

 

  • Schedule change for Oct. 23.  Schedule will not be as tight as originally anticipated.

 

  • Consider posting schedule at field indicating what lines to paint on the upper field each week.

 

  • Beginning in the spring the setup/take down procedures will be posted inside the equipment room

 

  • Coaches were given recommendations for handling lop-sided games.

 

  • Coaches were reminded that official South Park uniforms are not to be modified.  Also need to remind in-coming U10 teams each year about uniform requirements.

 

  • Coaches need to report game cancellations with travel and referee commissioners so that makeup games can be scheduled.

 

  • Coaches were reminded that all players must play at least 50% of the game in all divisions except Divisions 1 and A.

 

  • Concession stand still needs to be covered even if a game is cancelled.

 

  • Discussed conduct of coaches and assistants with opposing players, coaches, and referees.

 

  • Scores need to be reported to Jim and Paul each week.

 

  • Evaluation dates for travel players will be held on June 3 or June 10

 

  • Reservations for Edinboro need to be made as soon as possible.

  • Broken goal is almost ready.
